MLB announcer Jim Kaat will likely want this comment back.

When talking about the sudden rise of Yankees pitcher Nestor Cortes during the Twins-Tigers game on Thursday afternoon, Kaat got excited when dropping the extremely bizarre “Nestor The Molestor” moniker on the Yanks southpaw.

Check out the gaffe:

This isn’t Jim Kaat’s first run-in tin the booth. When calling a White Sox game, Kaat made a “40 acre” comment when speaking on Yoan Moncada that elicited an apology.

“I want to add a little break here,” Kaat said later during that broadcast via SI. “In fact, I need to read this right now, because earlier in the game when Yoán Moncada was at the plate in an attempt to compliment the great player, I used a poor choice of words that resulted in a sensitive, hurtful remark. And I’m sorry.”

Perhaps another apology is in store for Jim Kaat after his nickname for Nestor Cortes.
