Joe Maddon Got Fired Before He Was Able to Show Off Last Ditch Effort to End Losing Streak

Timing is everything.

Unfortunately for former Angels skipper Joe Maddon, he ran out of time. The Los Angeles Angels fired  manager Joe Maddon after the Angels dropped 14 straight games. On Sunday Night Baseball, they spoke about Maddon being fired, and hilariously it was revealed that he was ready to bust something out to help his team get out of their losing streak. A slump buster mohawk. Maddon was ready to show off his new “Hawk” but unfortunately he never got the chance to, as he was axed before the big reveal ever happened.

ESPN’s Tim Kurkjian explained:

Not sure an old man’s mohawk would really help all that much, but Joe Maddon has been known to do unusual things to motivate his teams. He’s a master of mixing it up, and being one of the guys.
