Count Cleveland Guardians players among the many who have a hatred for the New York Yankees’ fan base.
During the game against the Yankees on Saturday, Guardians players — especially outfielder Myles Straw — were visibly angered after fans in the outfield were throwing beer and other trash at them.
This is disgusting. Yankees fans should be embarrassed. Wow.

After the game, Myles Straw slammed the Yankees fans.
“It’s everybody,” he added. “It was just a beer parade. You could see them coming from a mile away. We were just trying to avoid the beer cans. Our bullpen was getting hit with them, too. It doesn’t surprise me. I think (reliever Trevor) Stephan got hit by an ice cream cone or something crazy (in the bullpen). It was all kinds of stuff. I’ve never seen this anywhere else.”
He would go on the call Yankees fans the “worst fan base on the planet”.

Guardians player Oscar Mercado was also livid after the game.
“You can celebrate your team walking it off, but don’t throw (stuff) on the field,” he said. “That’s how people can get hurt. I didn’t get hit, but it was close. One beer can came right at my face, but I caught it. There was still beer in the can.
