Dallas Cowboys “Desperate” To Make One Trade Ahead Of NFL Draft

Despite earlier reports, Jerry Jones refused to commit to Mike McCarthy when speaking on his coaching staff following the loss last weekend

Jerry Jones knows he has his work cut out for him ahead of the NFL Draft.

After losing receiver Amari Cooper to the Browns this offseason, the Cowboys are desperately trying to shore up their roster on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball.

With this being the case, tomorrow’s NFL Draft carries some added important for a Cowboys team that knows their championship window is right now.

As it stands, Jerry Jones’ Cowboys hold the 24th pick in the NFL Draft. But apparently, they’re not content with that being where they try to select a difference-maker.

“We always chum,” Jones said during Tuesday’s pre-draft press conference here inside The Star when asked specifically about Dallas being on the phone with other teams. “You do that. … You are always talking about possibilities or things.”

The Dallas Cowboys sound like they know they’re in now-or-never mode. And that could leave to some exciting action tomorrow night.

Stay tuned.
