Alex Rodriguez was trending all over the web after it was announced over the weekend that his former girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, was getting engaged to Ben Affleck.

And as if that wasn’t enough, the former slugger couldn’t even get away from the drama during an appearance on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball last night.

During yesterday’s edition of the inaugural KayRod Cast, ESPN’s Michael Kay trolled A-Rod while subtly bringing up the engagement of his former fling.

“It’s a great time in sports,” Kay said. “We have a new Masters champion. The NBA playoffs are about to start. Baseball in full swing. People getting engaged! It’s a happy time in the world.”

When Alex Rodriguez finally understood the joke, he took it well.

Alex Rodriguez began dated Jennifer Lopez shortly after his playing career in 2017. But after announcing their engagement in 2019, they quickly called the whole thing off.

Now, J-Lo appears to have moved on, and so has A-Rod.

As for now, Alex Rodriguez appears content with his spot at ESPN, along with his recent purchase in heavy Minnesota Timberwolves stake.

Luckily for Michael Kay, A-Rod took the joke well.
