Even Aaron Judge couldn’t support Josh Donaldson after his comment made to White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson over the weekend.

During the highly-contested series, Donaldson incited a benches clearing moment when referring to the African-American Anderson as ‘Jackie’, in reference to Jackie Robinson.

Despite Josh Donaldson proving his point that he was referring to a 2019 interview where Tim Anderson said he felt like today’s Jackie Robinson, the MLB still decided to hand down a one-game punishment.

When asked about the Josh Donaldson situation, Aaron Judge admitted that making the comment to Tim Anderson was out of line.

‘Joke or not, I don’t think it’s the right thing to do there,’ Judge told reporters following Monday’s loss in Baltimore two days after Donaldson’s comment via Daily Mail.

Having one of the main leaders on the Yankees speak out against Josh Donaldson is certainly not the best look for the fiery third baseman.

On Tuesday, Tim Anderson said he wasn’t looking to make amends with Donaldson by any means, but he’s trying to put the entire situation behind him.

“I can definitely move on but I’m not looking for no friendship or relationship from that behalf,” he said.

For now, Josh Donaldson is expected to appeal his suspension.
