PGA legend Tiger Woods had some disappointing news for fans during his first appearance since his scary car crash that led to a long rehab

Social media has been following Tiger Woods’comeback for sometime now and what a story it would be if he were able to suit up for the 2022 Masters this week in Augusta, Georgia.

Tiger Woods released a statement early on Sunday stating that, “I will be heading up to Augusta today to continue my preparation and practice. It will be a game-time decision on whether I compete.”

The golfing world is no doubt holding their breath as they carefully watch Woods hit range balls and soak up every bit of information they can on the situation.

While it is a true game-time decision, the fact that he is even this close to play and looks to be taking full rips on the range figures to mean he will at least give it a go this week. Woods currently has 15 majors and is a five-time Masters champion.

I mean, does this look like a person who is just there to walk the course and eventually sit-out?

The man looks focused and ready to get back out there.

Social media had plenty of their own thoughts on the situation.

If I were a betting man, and I am, I would say that Tiger makes his return at a course he knows as much about as anyone I can think of. Not to mention the ratings that the Masters would get if he did make his return this week.

Here’s to hoping we see Woods make his long-awaited return to championship golf this week at one of the most prestigious events on the PGA tour.
