Report: When Tiger Woods Could Announce His Decision On The Masters

The Tiger Woods-Masters buzz continues to grow.

After noticeably being listed on the list of participants for the 2022 Masters, Tiger took his private jet to Augusta National this week to play practice rounds and see if his surgically-repaired leg could hold up at Augusta National.

And after his practice round, the few people who saw him in action (including Rory McIlroy) revealed that he looked pretty good being as he’s just 15 months removed from the scary single-car crash that shook the sports world.

With the golf world hanging on for any and all Tiger Woods updates, one insider revealed when he thinks a decision might come.

Dan Rapoport of Golf Digest tweeted out that a decision could be coming tomorrow.

“When he’s been on the fence about playing the Masters, Tiger has historically announced his decision on Friday before the tournament,” Rapoport tweeted. “That’s tomorrow. Tomorrow is April Fool’s Day. I’m sure this won’t cause any confusion at all.”

Tiger Woods participated in at the unofficial PNC Championship with his son, Charlie, earlier in the year. But he maintained that his body is still far away from making a return at that time.

“I have a long way in the rehab process of this leg, and it’s not the fun stuff of the rehab,” Woods said at the time. “It’s just reps and breaking up scar tissue and things that really hurt. So that part of it’s not going to be fun, but the challenge of it is. I enjoy the challenge of getting in there and trying to push it to the next level; sometimes it’s two steps forward, one step back, but you’ve got to go through it. I enjoy that part of it, and maybe one day it will be good enough where I can get out here and I can compete against these best players in the world again.”

We’ve all been waiting all week to find out if Tiger Woods will be teeing it up at The Masters. And we may be getting our answer before the weekend begins.
