Apparently LIV Golf can be hazardous to your health.

Golfing star Bryson DeChambeau was knocked to the ground in Sunday’s final round of the LIV Golf Invitational Series Chicago. From video of the incident posted on social media, it appears the former U.S. Open champion tried to walk under a gallery rope at Rich Harvest Farms outside of Chicago, but didn’t check for the rope’s height. He never put his hands up to grab the rope, and that was his big mistake. As he went to pass under the rope, he walked right into it and somehow got it stuck under his hat and appears to possibly have hit himself in the eye. Then DeChambeau fell to one knee as the announcers of the livestream groaned.

One of the announcers appears to have said, “Off with his head.”

Here’s the accident from a different angle.

Golfing influencer Paige Spiranac really enjoyed Bryson’s mishap, and took to Social Media to roast him.

Thoughts with Bryson and his family at this difficult time. That 12mm nylon spectator rope could have easily taken his head clean off!

Talk about a sarcastic rant from Paige Spiranac, she really enjoyed Bryson’s blunder a little too much.

DeChambeau  was able to finish his round. He finished in a tie for 10th, seven shots behind winner Cameron Smith.
