LIV Golf continues on its course to pluck more players from the PGA.
Cam Young is expected to be one of the five or more players set to announce they’re joining LIV Golf next week. Interestingly enough, Cam Smith’s name and several other PGA players are already appearing on the LIV Golf website. When you purchase tickets for the upcoming LIV tournament in Boston, you can enter Cam Young’s name in as a discount code for a reduced ticket price for the upcoming event.
An article in the Times a few weeks ago claimed Young was ready to make the switch following the conclusion of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, but a source close to the 25-year-old has denied the rumors linking him with the Saudi-backed golf league.
“He has been contacted by them, but at this point is very strongly inclined to remain on the PGA Tour,” said the person, who spoke to the Rockland/Westchester Journal News.
The other players on the Discount Code list are Aussie Marc Leishman, Cameron Tringale, Anirban Lahiri , Harold Varner III, and Joaquin Niemann.
See the evidence below:
It only benefits LIV to have these guys associated with the conversation, and this conflicts with information we've received, but:
Probably worth asking Niemann and Cam Young why their names are among the few that work for ticket discounts next week. pic.twitter.com/UMYrCOrEGT

Here's five other names/codes that also work, which corresponds with the information that we (and many others) have. pic.twitter.com/PgWLdOTKVO

According to the thread, Cam Young would be a shocker, considering he was present at the PGA players only meeting in Delaware.
“For what it’s worth, we’re still hearing that Niemann is undecided. And if the Young commit is true, that would be a shocker to many that were in the room with him last week in Delaware.”
Following last week’s players’ meeting, the PGA Tour has announced unprecedented changes in an effort to stop more player from leaving the PGA tour for LIV Golf.
All PGA Tour players who end up making the move to LIV Golf will be banned by the PGA Tour heading into the new 2023 season.
Seems like LIV and the PGA will continue to fight over the talent, but that discount code thing is pretty telling.
