Australia’s Cameron Smith has been knocking on the door of the PGA elites all season long. But this past weekend, Smith was able to kick that door down.

By showcasing ridiculous skills with the putter all weekend long, Smith was able to fend off Rory McIlroy with a Sunday charge to win The Open, his first major championship.

Right away, Cameron Smith endeared himself to fans when he openly questioned how many beers he could fit into the Claret Jug.

Shortly after, Cameron Smith took his trophy home, where fans were taken aback at just how beautiful The Open champs’ house was.

Despite his PGA triumph, Cameron Smith has been linked to the LIV Golf tour. And after his big win, Smith refused to answer whether or not he was planning on making the leap to the Saudi-backed tour.

“I just won the British Open, and you’re asking about that,” he said after The Open via Yahoo. “I think that’s pretty not that good. I don’t know, mate. My team around me worries about all that stuff. I’m here to win golf tournaments.”

Regardless of where Cameron Smith decides to spend his future, it’s clear that he’s one of the top young players in the entire sport.
