Is Jay Williams hearing some rumblings about a potential return for Coach K at Duke?

After announcing before the season that this year would be his last, the longtime Duke coach was paraded around the country all year — receiving some gifts along the way.

But today, some comments that Jay Williams (who played under Coach K from 1999-2002) went viral.

After losing to rival North Carolina in the Final Four, Coach K maintained that this was his last season. But he also declared that he still feels in physical shape to coach games.

“I’ll be fine,” Krzyzewski said, via ESPN. “I’ve been blessed to be in the arena. And when you’re in the arena, you’re either going to come out feeling great or you’re going to feel agony, but you always will feel great about being in the arena. And I’m sure that’s the thing, when I look back, that I’ll miss. I won’t be in the arena anymore. But, damn, I was in the arena for a long time. And these kids made my last time in the arena an amazing one.”

Despite the comments from Jay Williams, it sure looks like Jon Scheyer will be taking over for Coach K next season. But never say never… maybe Krzyzewski gets bored early on in his retirement
