Decoldest Crawford’s HVAC Commercial Has Arrived

FILE - In this Sept. 15, 2018, file photo, Nebraska fans release red balloons after a touchdown against Troy during the first half of an NCAA college football game in Lincoln, Neb. Nebraska's gameday tradition of fans releasing helium-filled red balloons to celebrate the Cornhuskers' first touchdown is ending. Balloons have been handed out to fans near the stadium entrance before games since the early 1960s. Athletic director Trev Alberts announced on his radio show Monday night, May 23, 2022, a global shortage of helium led to the decision to end the practice. (AP Photo/Nati Harnik, File)

Now that’s cold.

Decoldest Crawford easily has one of the best names in the history of sports. It’s just one of those names that almost seems too good to be true, frankly it sounds completely made up. But thanks to the NIL rules that were implemented last season, Crawford can now profit off his great name. A few weeks ago SOS Heating & Cooling in Omaha, Nebraska announced that it had signed the incoming Nebraska freshman wide receiver as a spokesperson.

Pretty much everyone agreed that was what NIL was intended for. Now we have the actual ad and it’s perfect.

“When your A/C isn’t Decoldest, you call SOS heating and cooling,” the freshman wideout said in a spot that’s already going viral on social media.

Perfect ad. Just a straightforward spot read by a young man with a thick Lousiana accent.  Another great moment in NIL history. A major victory for everyone who contributed.

A Shreveport, Louisiana native, Decoldest Crawford was a 3-star prospect out of Green Oaks High School in the class of 2022. On Oct. 28, 2019, Crawford pledged to LSU. In December 2021, Nebraska hired former LSU wide receivers coach Mickey Joseph. The Huskers extended a scholarship offer to Crawford on Dec. 7th and he decommitted from the Tigers. Crawford committed and signed with Nebraska on Dec. 17 during the Early Signing Period.

Crawford picked up 16 scholarship offers during his recruitment. He also considered Auburn, Florida and Texas before signing with Nebraska.
