Coach K’s family was in the news earlier in the year for all the wrong reasons.

Unfortunately, Krzyzewski’s grandson, Michael Savarino, ran into some trouble back in November when he was booked on a DWI after allegedly running a stop sign.

The trial finally came for Coach K’s grandson.

According to a report from the News Observer, Michael Savarino plead guilty to the DWI, and all the charges were luckily dropped.

Coach K had his farewell tour end on a sour note after losing to rival North Carolina in March Madness.

Michael Savarino had played for his grandpa for a short period, and remains enrolled at Duke following his arrest. He reportedly had to complete 24 hours of community service as part of his punishment.

Hopefully Coach K’s grandson has learned his lesson.
