One MLB bettor is going to have an extremely long grudge against the New York Yankees.

Yesterday, it was revealed that a guy who put $5 on one of those massive parlays just need one thing to happen in order to cash out over $40K: the Yankees to beat the Mariners on Wednesday.

But sure enough, the Yankees squandered a late lead, and ended up losing the game by a final score of 4-3.

Check out the ridiculously bad beat below:

Not only did the Yankees make this bettor extremely bitter, but they’re also going down a bad path at the worst time of year.

Despite being the best team in baseball for most of the season, New York has now lost seven of their past eight games and are just 19-24 since June 24.

After the gut wrenching loss to a Mariners team currently fighting for a playoff spot, manager Aaron Boone spoke on the recent struggles.

“We’ve just have been continuing to play a bunch of tight ball games that unfortunately the past week especially have been on the short side of it,” he said. “It’s just getting everything synced up on given days. Obviously, last night we pitched and played really really well on defense to give us a chance but feeling that’s a game we should have taken advantage of. Obviously, we’ve got some key guys out right now. But I have a ton of confidence in the guys we’ve got rolling out there sometimes in their place. I feel like we’re close to getting it rolling again. We’ve just got to continue grinding away right now.”

Now, the Yankees have less than two months to get back to dominant form before the postseason begins.
