Odds For Shohei Ohtani’s Next Team Have Been Revealed

Shohei Ohtani is the modern day Babe Ruth.

Not only is he is a great hitter, he’s  also an ACE Pitcher. And he might be on a new team before the Aug. 2nd MLB Trade Deadline. MLB insider Jon Heyman tweeted Thursday night that the Angels are “listening on everybody and for the first time, that’s includes Ohtani.”

Heyman said the Angels would want a contender’s “top four prospects.” However, he noted Ohtani being moved is still a longshot.

Of course there are some odds on his next team.

So outside of the Angels,  the favorites to land Ohtani are the Padres and Cardinals. Following  those teams you have the Mets, Yankees and Brewers.

Ohtani earning $5.5 million this season in arguably one of the biggest steals in history. He’s eligible for arbitration next season, meaning he’s under team control, then he will become an unrestricted free agent for 2024. Ohtani could command upwards of $30 million in arbitration, and could easily $50 million annually in free agency.

Remember you’re getting two players for one with Ohtani.

The Angels really should do everything in their power to  keep this guy.
