Joey Chestnut Bettors Granted Huge Relief Thanks To Protestor

The GOAT of hot dog eating competition, Joey Chestnut, casts some doubt on how much longer his body can keep doing this

It wasn’t a matter of if Joey Chestnut would win the Nathan Hot Dog Eating Contest on Monday morning, but by how many hot dogs.

The undisputed GOAT of competitive eating had an ungodly o/u set at 74.5 hot dogs on most sports books. And of course, the public was heavily on him to achieve the over.

Unfortunately, Chestnut logged just 63 hot dogs, which was still well ahead of the second place finisher.

However, the Joey Chestnut over bettors were granted relief from most sports books.

While he was wolfing down hot dogs, a protestor ran across the stage, eventually parking in front of Chestnut. He would proceed to attempt to choke out the man, taking precious seconds away from his eating.

Because of the discrepancy, the bet would end up being voided for anyone who took Joey Chestnut’s over.

Other sports books such as the Barstool Sportsbook and Draftkings would also refund Joey Chestnut bettors.

Still, Chestnut remains on top of the competitive eating world. But even after the whole protestor situation, it’s hard to imagine he had another 11 hot dogs in him on Monday.

Even so, the public will likely be hammering Joey Chestnut’s over again next year.
