One Bettor Is Weirdly Confident In Julio Jones Heading Into Next Season

Veteran receiver Julio Jones found a new home with Tom Brady in Tampa Bay this week, and one bettor is oddly excited about the move.

With Training Camp beginning this week, a bettor decided to drop $250 on Jones to lead the entire NFL in receiving yards.

The bet would pay out a whopping $37,500.

The last we heard, the Colts were kicking the tires on bringing in Julio Jones to pair with Matt Ryan for a reunion, but after Colts GM Chris Ballard put those rumors to bed, Tampa was there to pounce.

Last season, Jones caught a career-low 31 passes for just 434 yards and one touchdown. But we’d obviously expect an uptick in production in Tampa Bay’s high-octane offense as long as he can stay healthy.

Still, Julio Jones will now join a receiving core including the likes of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, and expecting him to stand out as the most productive receiver in the league is most likely a pipe dream.

Perhaps this bettor knows something we don’t, though.
