Bubba Wallace made history at Talladega on Monday afternoon.
After rain spoiled the scheduled YellaWood 500 on Sunday, the Nascar Cup Series race was re-cheduled for Monday afternoon. And when the race was once again called due to rain, Bubba Wallace was named the winner.

With the first win of his career, Bubba Wallace became just the second African-American driver to win a NASCAR race. The first was Wendell Scott way back in 1963.
After the race was finished, Scott’s grandson took to social media to congratulate Wallace on his historic win at Talladega.

Not only did the win make the first inBubba Wallace’s career, but also the first of the new 23XI racing team co-owned by Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin.
Next year, the team will be adding Kurt Busch to join Wallace as their only two racers.
But in year one of a whole new operation for Bubba Wallace and co., a win at Talladega will prove to be something special to end the season on.
