The Jags Waive Goodbye To Fournette And Start Officially Tanking For Trevor

The Jaguars released running back Leonard Fournette on Monday morning after trying for several months to trade him. Over the weekend they also traded defensive end Yannick Ngakoue to the Minnesota Vikings for a 2021 second-round pick and a 2022 conditional fifth-round pick. They are absolutely gutting the team, and I assume their reasoning is to tank for Trevor Lawrence. I always think that’s a risky situation and ultimately could look bad to a potential top pick. Wouldn’t you want to play for a team that is trying to win?

Anyway, the only person I care about in all of this is Gardner Minshew. Our mustached god doesn’t deserve this. He has to just sit there and watch the team be dismantled so they can go get a quarterback that will take his job? I hope he has a great second season and ends up somewhere that will respect his jorts. Just a reminder: he had 3,271 passing yards, 21 passing touchdowns and six interceptions to go along with 67 carries for 344 rushing yards in his rookie season without any real talent around him.
