Talk about a mouthful of a headline.
Bad fan behavior has been the norm since fans started coming back to live sporting events. One fan, who also happens to be a public figure, took bad behavior to a whole new level on Monday Night.
Tennessee state representative Jeremy Faison was kicked out of a high school basketball game after threatening to fight a referee. He also attempted to take the Ref’s pants off.
Jeremy Faison is the state Republican caucus chair of Tennessee.

Faison took to Twitter to apologize for the incident, saying he, “acted the fool” during the incident and hopes to make it right.
I acted the fool tonight.
I’m hoping to be able to make it right. pic.twitter.com/W8PINvTue5— Rep. Jeremy Faison (@JeremyFaison4TN) January 5, 2022
Faison’s full statement:
“Unfortunately, I acted the fool tonight and lost my temper on a ref. I was wanting him to fight me. Totally lost my junk and got booted from the gym. I’ve never really lost my temper but I did tonight and it was completely stupid of me. Emotions getting in the way of rational thoughts are never good. I hope to be able to find the ref and ask for his forgiveness. I was bad wrong.”
This guy should never be allowed near a ref ever again.
Restraining order that fool.
