Looks like there’s a team everyone is sleeping on.
The Atlanta Falcons have emerged as a “sleeper” team in the sweepstakes for controversial Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen report.
The Falcons have emerged as a sleeper team to acquire Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, league sources tell @mortreport and me. The Falcons join the Panthers, Saints and Browns as teams that have met with, or are interested in, trading for Watson. More to come on ESPN.

Twitter reacted to the “Sleeper” Report:
so the falcons, saints, panthers [and even the bucs pre-brady returning] all expressed interest in Deshaun Watson, the entire division

Feels like the Falcons are trying to up the price for Watson from their division rivals https://t.co/zRQMunJNM7

Drive that price up! Lol One franchise will mortgage the next 5 years to get Watson and the other 2 won’t have any thing more than an average QB…
good times for #Bucs fans https://t.co/F5DIyCjqwB

Schefter also noted Falcons owner Arthur Blank has always been a big Deshaun Watson fan.

Falcons owner Arthur Blank is fond of Deshaun Watson from the days when the former Gainesville (Ga) High quarterback worked multiple years as a Falcons’ ball boy and developed a relationship with Blank's family. https://t.co/EypxrnF9ma

The Falcons have not reached the playoffs since 2017 and could soon be in the market for a new quarterback with veteran starter Matt Ryan set to turn 37 before the start of the 2022 NFL season.
At this point Watson would look good in any uniform as long as he’s playing.
