Russell Wilson Sends Heartfelt Message To Brian Schottenheimer After He Was Fired As Seahawks OC

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and Brian Schottenheimer seem to have had a good relationship. Unfortunately, they weren’t efficient enough as an offense, and Schottenheimer has now taken the fall. The Seahawks announced today that they would be moving on from Brian Schottenheimer as their offensive coordinator.

“Brian Schottenheimer is a fantastic person and coach and we thank him for the last three years. Citing philosophical differences, we have parted ways,” the team said in a statement.

Russell Wilson took to social media to share a message to his former coach.

“Schotty… I’m grateful for how much you meant to me over the past three years. God blessed me with you, we won a lot of games, threw a lot of touchdowns and had a blast in meetings and our bible studies. The best days are ahead for you. Go be Great. God first,” Wilson wrote to Schottenheimer.

It seemed like the Seahawks brass saw enough of Schottenheimer after the offense couldn’t move the ball much against the Rams during their playoff game. The Hawks lost 30-20 to their division rival. Russell Wilson completed just 11-of-27 passes for just 174 yards in the game. We’ll see where Brian Schottenheimer lands next.

Both parties might benefit from a change.
