Russell Wilson Wants Seattle To Make A Run At Odell Beckham Jr.

Over the offseason, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson voiced some of his displeasure with not being more involved in the team’s roster decisions. And now, the superstar quarterback has an ask for management.

Russ wants Odell Beckham Jr. to join the squad for the remainder of the season.

According to a report by Mike Jones at USA Today, The Seahawks have shown “strong interest” in Odell Beckham Jr. after Russell Wilson lobbied with the team to make the move.

“The Seahawks have shown strong interest in acquiring the wide receiver, the person said. Quarterback Russell Wilson has urged Seahawks brass for a Beckham signing, and in recent days, team officials have done extensive research on the wideout.”

Things never clicked between Odell Beckham Jr. and Baker Mayfield in Cleveland. But with a quarterback of Russell Wilson’s caliber, perhaps we’d be seeing the Odell of old in Seattle.

The Seahawks already have a stacked wide receiver room consisting of Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf. But with Super Bowl contenders, you simply cannot have too many weapons.

Russell Wilson has made it clear that he feels a little slighted by the Seahawks’ brass in recent years, and what better way to keep him happy than to go out and get him a star receiver?

Don’t be surprised if Odell Beckham Jr. is wearing a Seahawks uniform in the near future.
