Philip Rivers Caught Fat Shaming Roquan Smith In Hilarious Trash Talk Sound Bites

If you know Philip Rivers you know he’s talking trash even more often than he’s popping out kids. And that’s pretty frequently. He doesn’t curse, but somehow the new Colts quarterback doesn’t have trouble finding a way to cross the line. Rivers was taunting Bears linebacker, Roquan Smith, for much of the game. Later he was caught screaming across the field to let Smith know that he thought he was a…fatty?

Philip Rivers Trash Talking

For someone who doesn’t even curse, I must admit, Rivers has a pretty elite trash talk game. Maybe even more elite than his arm. However, Rivers was good enough to get it done against the 3-0 Bears on Sunday. He threw for 190yds and 1TD, leading the Colts to a 19-11 victory and a 3-1 overall record. Best of all, Rivers didn’t get it done without some good old fashioned trash talk.

The Colts quarterback stopped his cadence to personally tell Roquan Smith that #28, rookie Jonathan Taylor, turned the corner on him. If that’s not good enough, just about five game minutes later, he was seen yelling across the field at Smith and calling him what looked and sounded like “fatty”. But wait, there’s a catch. Rivers and Smith literally weigh within 1lb of each other. Roquan smith at a listed 229 and Rivers at 228. So who’s the real “fatty”?

Rivers is a few inches taller than Smith, but I don’t know how you can really fat shame someone who virtually weighs the exact same as you. But hey, this is the Philip Rivers we know and love. At least the one I know and love. So many people love to hate Philip Rivers. Saying that he’s not an elite quarterback and that he throws interceptions at the most important times in the game. While that may be true, I love the Philip Rivers that wins games, has twenty kids, and fat shames people who are the same weight as he is.
