Odell Beckham Jr. Wants His Entire Salary Converted To Bitcoin

After being a free agent for the first time in his career, Odell Beckham Jr. took a small contract worth a little over $1 Million to become a Los Angeles Ram for the remainder of the season.

But he doesn’t want a traditional payment plan.

Odell Beckham Jr. became the latest athlete to announce that he’ll have his salary converted to cryptocurrency on Monday morning.

“It’s a NEW ERA & to kick that off I’m hyped to announce that I’m taking my new salary in bitcoin thanks to @CashApp,” Beckham wrote. “To ALL MY FANS out there, no matter where u r: THANK YOU! I’m giving back a total of $1M in BTC rn too. Drop your $cashtag w. #OBJBTC & follow @CashApp NOW.”

Odell Beckham Jr. now joins Aaron Rodgers and Saquon Barkley as other athletes who have decided to convert their salaries into crypto.

While Odell is set to make just $1.25 Million, he can make up to $3 Million based on performance incentives put into his contract by the team.

So far, Odell Beckham Jr. has not been an integral part of the dynamic LA Rams offense. But as he becomes more acclimated with the team it’ll be interesting to see where he fits going forward.
