MLB Community Mourns The Loss Of Pedro Feliciano

The MLB community is in a somber mood on Monday after it was announced that former New York Mets reliever Pedro Feliciano passed away in his sleep on Sunday night. He was 44-years-old.

“The Mets are so saddened to hear of the loss to their family today. Pedro Feliciano will be remembered as a beloved member of the Mets organization for his impact as a great teammate as well as his reputation as one of the most competitive, durable and reliable relievers during his time in Queens. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Feliciano family. Rest in peace, Pedro,” the Mets said in a statement.

After the sad news was announced, fans, former teammates, and media members took to social media to share their condolences to Pedro Feliciano.

Pedro Feliciano took a while to formulate an MLB career. But once he did, he proved to be one of the most reliable relievers in the history of the New York Mets.

During his nine-year career (all with the Mets), Feliciano was 22-21 with a 3.33 ERA.

Based on the response on social media, Pedro Feliciano was a great teammate – who always made time for the fans. Rest in peace, Pedro.
