Notre Dame Coach Mike Brey Showed His True Irish Spirit Following The Team’s NCAA Tournament Win

Notre Dame-Rutgers was an early candidate for game of the NCAA Tournament after it took two OTs and many clutch shots down the stretch before the Fighting Irish got the win to move on to the round of 64 on Wednesday night.

After coming out with the win, Brey made sure to end his on-court interview with an energetic message to all the Notre Dame fans celebrating St. Patrick’s Day a little bit early.

Mike Brey would also say that he was hoping to celebrate on the team plane with his favorite Irish whiskey.

After taking care of Rutgers (somehow), Mike Brey and his Notre Dame squad will travel to California to take on Alabama in the first round on Friday afternoon.

Of course, all of that will come after Brey and his players enjoy Thursday’s St. Patrick’s Day a little bit more following the incredible win on Wednesday night.

Mike Brey’s interview was just the latest example on why we love college basketball, specifically March Madness.
