Michigan State’s Record in the Next Game Played After a Drake Project Release is 10-0

Looks like the Drake Curse doesn’t apply to everyone.

The Michigan State Spartans are undefeated in football games played directly after the release of a new Drake album, which is a pretty jaw dropping stat, considering Drake is well known for cursing teams. A reporter who covers Michigan State for The Athletic sent out some eye opening stats highlighting the fact that the Michigan State Spartans have a 10-0 record in football games played following the release of a new Drake album.

It seemed like that impressive streak, as Drake was slated to drop Her Loss the day before Michigan State headed down to Ann Arbor to face off against No. 4 Michigan. However Drake just announced the project is being delayed until November 4th after producer Noah “40” Shebib was diagnosed with COVID.

Champagne Papi announced the delay Wednesday, revealing on his Instagram story that his longtime producer, Noah “40” Shebib, became infected with COVID while mixing and mastering the album.

Drake as a good luck charm will still have some work to do when the Michigan State Spartans square off against a Fighting Illini team that’s currently 6-1 and ranked 17th in the country on November 5th. But if you believe in this, you’ll know exactly who to be on come November 5th.

So much for the Drake curse.
