Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley announced earlier today that he was taking time away from football to deal with mental health issues that have been affecting him.

Ridley put out a statement Sunday afternoon saying that he “needed to step away from football at this time and focus on my wellbeing”.

The Falcons lost 19-13 at home to the Carolina Panthers. Ridley has 31 receptions for 281 yards and two TDs over his 5 games this season.
