Metta World Peace Reacts To Fan Throwing Popcorn On Russell Westbrook

Metta World Peace (formerly Ron Artest) knows a thing or two about getting into it with some fans. After a fan threw a drink on him in Detroit, he started a famous brawl, which is now referred to as “The Malice In The Palace”.

After Russell Westbrook had popcorn thrown on him by a fan in Philadelphia last night, Metta World Peace went on “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd to discuss his mindset on unruly fans acting up during an NBA game.

Metta thinks that fans can do whatever they want, but once they throw something at a player, or put hands on a player…that’s when they’re crossing the line.

“Look at how Kobe played. Look at how Westbrook plays. They’re giving you their all every night… It’s the ultimate sign of disrespect,” World Peace said on the show.

After the incident with Russell Westbrook, the fan involved has been banned from future games.

Luckily, Russell Westbrook was held back before he could confront the fan who dumped popcorn on him.

I’m not sure an entire army of security guards would have been able to do the same if Metta World peace was involved.

Fans should probably just stick to mocking opposing players with chants.
