Marshawn Lynch May Be Ready To Come Out Of Retirement Again

As the regular season comes to a close, Marshawn Lynch appears to have an opportunity to come out of retirement. Lynch revealed this week several teams have reached out to him in hopes of signing him to finish out the season. However, there is at least one condition according to the 34-year-old veteran running back. He says the team has to be “Super Bowl ready”. In other words, Marshawn Lynch doesn’t want to come back just to play. He wants to win a championship.

“If the situation is right then it could happen,” Marshawn Lynch said, via Pro Football Talk. “I’ve been asked the question by a couple of teams here recently. Like, ‘Are you ready?’ I’m ready if y’all are Super Bowl ready. That’s what it would take me to come out and play again. it would have to be a guaranteed Super Bowl game for me.”

There are very few teams that look “Super Bowl ready” at this point in time, so it is tough to speculate who Marshawn Lynch would be willing to come out of retirement to play for. Going to the Super Bowl is never a guarantee. I think a veteran like Marshawn Lynch knows that just as well as anyone. But if he is going to pad back up and play he wants the best possible chances of making the big game.
