Jimmy Butler Throws A Hilarious Jab At Dwyane Wade Over The Player Comparisons

Jimmy Butler has become good friends with Dwyane Wade over the years. However, he is growing tired of the comparisons to the Miami Heat veteran. During an appearance on NBA On TNT last night, Butler expressed his frustration regarding the comparisons to Wade. Dwyane Wade now works for TNT, so Butler didn’t answer questions about the comparison without throwing a jab at the Heat legend.

“I’m tired of being compared,” Butler said. “Everything I do I got to be compared to Dwyane Wade. ‘Oh, you just passed Dwyane Wade on the triple-doubles list.’ Man, screw Dwyane Wade.”

Wade couldn’t help but laugh at the way Jimmy Butler delivered the line. As for the comparisons, it would be interesting to know what Dwyane Wade thinks of them. It will be tough for Butler to ever reach Wade’s level of stardom for the Heat franchise. Wade won three NBA titles and leads the franchise in scoring. It’s definitely not an easy act for Butler to follow, but hey, let’s not put it past him.

Butler led the Heat to an NBA Finals appearance, however, he was unable to oust LeBron James and company. The Heat have struggled this season, but the East is still wide open. Don’t count Jimmy Butler out just yet. As for the D-Wade comparisons, let’s table that conversation for now for Butler’s sake.
