Bears Corner Jaylon Johnson Calls Out Organization After receiving Fine

Chicago Bears corner Jaylon Johnson is proving himself after moving into the top corner job this season. And he appears to be a key piece of the team’s defense for a long time to come.

But on Wednesday, Johnson voiced his displeasure with the Bears after receiving a fine invoice because he was a little bit late to a team event.

“This shii crazy bruh,” Jaylon Johnson wrote on an Instagram post along with the letter.

Bears head coach Matt Nagy claimed that he was unaware of the fine, and that he would talk to Jaylon Johnson about it later in the day.

“Well, that’s news to me,” Nagy said via The Athletic’s Adam Jahns. “But at the same point in time, I’ll be able to talk to him and see what that’s all about. But Jaylon’s been doing great. Again, for what it is and where we’re at, I’ll be able to discuss it with him.”

It feels a little suspect that Jaylon Johnson would get fined and that it would have nothing to do with the head coach. But I guess it’s possible that a defensive coach or someone else in the organization slapped him with the invoice.

The Bears have struggled with contract negotiations with top receiver Allen Robinson, their coach is on the hot seat, and they appear to be in a transition period.

I think the last thing the Bears should want to do right now is upset one of their top young talents, Jaylon Johnson.
