Jaguars Player Speaks Out Against Urban Meyer Following Disturbing Report: ‘He’s A Phony’

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer has had an incredibly unsuccessful first year on the job both on and off the field.

Meyer was involved in controversy when a video caught him being grinded on by a random blonde while in Ohio during an away trip with the team

Weeks later reports surfaced that Urban Meyer treats his assistant coaches with extreme disrespect, often calling them out over their resumes.

When this report leaked out, Meyer vowed to find whoever was speaking to the press inside the locker room.

“What’s the answer? Starting leaking some information or nonsense? That’s garbage,” Meyer said, per SI.com’s Albert Breer. “If there is a source, then that source is unemployed. I mean, within seconds.”

Well, Urban Meyer’s threats must have not scared too many people inside the Jaguars locker room.

A report by Pro Football Network had a quote from an anonymous payer who called out the coach as a “hypocrite” and “phony”.

“He came in preaching values, family, and team. It’s been anything but since the start of training camp. He’s a phony and a hypocrite. We know who he is,” the anonymous Jaguars player said.

On the year, Urban Meyer’s Jaguars are tied for last place in the AFC at 2-11. But the most disappointing part of all of it is that the offense under Trevor Lawrence has not improved as the year has progressed.

Over the past two weeks, Meyer’s offense has put up just seven points, and were shut out against the Titans on Sunday afternoon in a game that had no appeal whatsoever.

The worst possible scenario has come to fruition for the Jaguars under Urban Meyer: the only real intrigue with the team is what’s happening off the football field.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets canned after just one season.
