Former ESPN Employee Britt McHenry Back on the Sidelines Covering the NFL

Former NFL sideline reporter Britt McHenry is back doing what she does best, covering the NFL from the sidelines. Britt was on sidelines for Thursday night’s game in Washington between the Giants and the Washington Football team. It’s been a crazy journey for Britt back to the place where she got her start. Since she was laid off by ESPN in 2017, it’s been a rollercoaster ride for the former Mothership employee.

Britt took a job at Fox News, which resulted in a sexual harassment controversy. It was recently settled.

Britt also went through a medical scare, she had brain cancer surgery last year.

Britt McHenry is now covering the Washington Football Team for Fox 5 DC.

“Wow. First of all, itā€™s been a full year since Iā€™ve posted to my IG feed. So, Proof of life. šŸ˜‚

If you would have told me a year and a half ago, when I was diagnosed with brain cancer, Iā€™d be standing back on the sidelines covering footballā€¦Iā€™m not sure Iā€™d believe you. It felt so natural. My love and passion will always be sports media. Iā€™ve worn different hats, covered politics and news, but thisā€¦itā€™s where I thrive. I loved seeing former colleagues, current coworkers and all the wonderful employees at Fed Ex Field whoā€™ve literally seen me grow up on and off camera. #WFT win over the #Giants was one for the memory books.

Let this be a reminder: No matter what adversity you face or obstacles you overcomeā€¦youā€™re stronger than what youā€™re facing. Love yā€™all. Hereā€™s to more football (and soon hockey) @fox5dc”
