Now that Winston is officially done for the season, would former Saints star Drew Brees be willing to come out of retirement?

Via Nola:

“Mike Tirico posed the question saying, “Let me check,” as he picked up his phone.

Brees then thoroughly shot down the idea.

“I’ll be there Saturday to call the Notre Dame-Navy game, and I’ll be here Sunday,” Brees said, indicating he planned to fulfill his new responsibilities as a broadcaster at NBC.”

Payton insisted multiple times that the Saints have no intentions of bringing in a new quarterback.

“We’re satisfied with the quarterback room,” Payton said.

Drew Brees would be a solid game manager, but he can no longer win games with his noodle arm.
