Dinger Trending Following Mic Picking Up What Sounded Like N Word Being Hurled at MLB Player

It’s not everyday you see the word Dinger Trending, but that’s where we are today following a controversial story. The Colorado Rockies are investigating a fan using the N word towards Miami Marlins outfielder Lewis Brinson. While he was at the plate you can hear a fan saying the N Word over and over again.

“The Rockies have zero tolerance for any form of racism or discrimination, and any fan using derogatory language of any kind will be ejected and banned from Coors Field,” the team said.

Now there’s another video where the fan can be heard yelling Dinger, which just so happens to be the Marlins mascot.

I’ve listened to it over 20 times.. including with my eyes closed, just zoned in. I swear I hear “Dinger,” but admittedly it’s incredibly hard to tell.

I hope it would be that, and not the N word. There is no place for that in society.

I hear Dinger. I see him waving at Dinger. Dinger has been the mascot since 1992 and is always interacting with the fans on the lower deck, often throwing free stuff. That sounds and looks like a normal day at Coors Field to me. And I’ve been a Rockies fan since they were created

Just saw the video of the Rockies game and it looks like a guy was yelling "dinger" towards Dinger, the mascot.

“Neither Lewis, nor any other Marlins on the field or in the dugout, heard what was shouted,” Miami spokesman Jason Latimer told the Associated Press in a text. “We brought the matter to the attention of the Rockies. How the matter is being handled, I would have to defer to them.”

This seems like one big misunderstanding. It’s far more likely the fan was yelling Dinger.

I mean, no one even blinked an eye around him, which is pretty telling that the N Word was not being hurled at the batter.

The need for content sometimes creates stories out of nothing.
