Deebo Samuel Sheds Light On How Hard The COVID Season Has Been For NFL Players

San Francisco 49ers receiver Deebo Samuel took to social media earlier in the night to try to get fans to understand how much NFL players are sacrificing to be playing football right now. Here’s what he had to say about not being able to see his family during the pandemic.

“Y’all don’t understand the effect that covid have on athletes not being able to be with your family…that hit differently because I know I miss my people for sure,” Samuel wrote on his Twitter.

Deebo Samuel’s post was an eye-opener for me, because I never really thought of it that way. I mean, sure, I knew it must be hard for athletes to try to do everything perfectly and in accordance with the CDC, but not being able to see your family? That’s tough.

As we reach the holiday season, it must be wearing on these guys that they can’t see their entire families, and spend the Christmas season together. I know it would be hard for me.

I think it’s important for us, as fans, to appreciate how much these guys put on the line in order for us to have entertainment in our lives. Hopefully Deebo Samuel, and every other NFL player gets to spend time with their families soon.
