Colin Cowherd Has A Wild Comparison For Baker Mayfield

Fs1 talk show host Colin Cowherd has been overly critical of Baker Mayfield since his college days. So after it was announced that the Browns would be picking up the QBs option for the 2022 season, obviously Cowherd had a take.

Colin Cowherd still doesn’t think the Browns are sold on Baker Mayfield. In fact, he had a pretty telling comparison for Baker. Cowherd thinks the Browns view Mayfield similarly to how the Jaguars viewed Blake Bortles back in the day.

“This is what Jacksonville did with Blake Bortles,” Cowherd said on Friday. “They didn’t love him but he was good enough to win a playoff game… That’s kind of Baker. He’ll get you close.”

Colin Cowherd knows that if he just continues to beat the Baker Mayfield topic like a dead horse, people will listen. It’s all part of the game.

When Cowherd talks about Baker, he often slams his maturity level, and claims that he has to grow up a little bit in order to be a truly successful quarterback.

He has admitted that Baker has made strides throughout his short career in the NFL, but remains skeptical about his future. I think it’s safe to say that Baker Mayfield doesn’t really care what Colin Cowherd thinks. At least he shouldn’t.
