Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy will likely be out of a job at the end of the season. But for Bears fans, that isn’t good enough.
Int he waning moments of the team’s disappointing collapse to the Baltimore Ravens (who were playing backup quarterback Tyler Huntley), loud “fire Nagy” chants were reigning down from the fans all over Soldier Field.

Despite the belief from optimistic Bears fans that Matt Nagy would be fired on Monday, the coach was still there doing his normal media session in the morning.
All throughout the day fans have taken to social media to voice their displeasure with Bears ownership’s decision to keep Nagy around for another week.

Matt Nagy looked to be a top up-and-coming coach in the NFL after winning the Coach of the Year award in 2018. But as his offense has continued to rank towards to bottom of the league, it’s becoming clear and obvious that he isn’t the right guy to work with Justin Fields going forward.
Right now, Nagy’s Bears are in the midst of a five game losing streak, in what he admitted was a “now or never” type of scenario for him coming into the season.
It feels like a foregone conclusion that Matt Nagy won’t be the head coach of the Bears next season. But perhaps they’ll let him finish out what he started for one more season before making the announcement that he won’t be back.
