Bryson DeChambeau Flew Home After Friday’s Round Thinking He Missed The Cut

It has been a wild 24 hours for PGA pro Bryson DeChambeau. After shooting a 74 in Friday’s round at the Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina, DeChambeau packed his bags and flew back home to Dallas. Little did he know that he ended up making the cut on the number.

DeChambeau was tied for 78th after the round and thought there was no way he was making the cut. When he landed in Dallas he said that he checked the scores and realized he was now in 64th and inside the cut line. DeChambeau decided to get a quick work out in (probably some protein shakes too) and head back to Charlotte.

It seemed like the mini trip back home for the workout played out well for DeChambeau Saturday morning as he went out and posted a 3-under 68 which vaulted him halfway up the leaderboard. He currently sits five strokes off the lead.

There’s nothing like having your own private jet to fly you home for a work out mid-tournament.
