Bruce Arians Quote About Cutting Antonio Brown Resurfaces Following The Suspension

When Bruce Arians brought in Antonio Brown in 2020, it was widely believed that the receiver would be on a short leash, and a zero-tolerance policy would be put in place by the Bucs.

And after being relatively well behaved for his entire tenure, Brown found himself back in the news this week for all the wrong reasons.

An investigation from the NFL determine that the receiver used a fake COVID vaccine card to get out of protocols from the league. And he has been suspended for three games.

Shortly after the suspension news was handed down for Antonio Brown, people were wondering if the Bucs might cut the star receiver.

After all, Bruce Arians did say that the team would be quick to get rid of him if he were to become a distraction.

He screws up one time, he’s gone,” Arians said when they made the signing last season.

But now that Antonio Brown has ‘screwed up’, it appears that Bruce Arians and the Bucs have no intentions of cutting the receiver.

“We appreciate the League’s timely handling of this matter and recognize the importance of the health and safety protocols that have been established. We will continue to implement all league COVID-19 protocols,” the Buccaneers said in a statement.

Antonio Brown has been nursing an ankle injury anyways, so it might be best for Bruce Arians to get him back just in time for the postseason, anyways.

Nothing but a slap on the wrist from the league here.
