Best Reactions To Carlos Rodon’s Heartwarming No-Hitter

Chicago White Sox pitcher Carlos Rodon was oh so close to twirling a perfect game at Guaranteed Rate Field tonight. The left-hander recorded 25-straight outs before hitting a batter in the foot on a two-strike offering with two outs to go in the game.

Nevertheless, Rodon would still get the next two batters, and complete the no-hitter. For a guy who has battled back from long injuries in each of the past two seasons, signed a short one-year deal with the White Sox in the offseason, and earned a spot in their rotation, that’s still pretty good. The team was fired up after Rodon completed the no-no.

After the game, Rodon was asked if he planned on giving the ball to the Hall-of-Fame (the customary procedure after throwing a no-hitter).
