Ben Simmons Reportedly Wants To Play For One Team Above All Others

The Ben Simmons saga rages on in Philly.

After reluctantly showing up to the team following his trade demands, Simmons now says that he’s been struggling with mental health issues to go along with a bad back. And he’ll be sitting out for the foreseeable future.

However, if Ben Simmons were to be traded then his mindset would likely change. And according to one report, he has a team in mind that he’d like to join above all the other potential fits: the Golden State Warriors.

“According to one league source, Simmons would still prefer to be traded,” Evan Massey of NBA Analysis reports. “His preferred destination if a trade does occur is the Warriors, who he believes would be a perfect fit for the next chapter of his career.”

The report would go on to say that in Ben Simmons’ “head” he’d be a perfect fit in the Warriors’ offense.

But unfortunately for him, Sixers president Daryl Morey has remained stubborn in that he will not be trading Simmons unless he gets an impact player back in return.

“You’re going to think I’m kidding, I’m not, this could take four years,” Morey said of a Simmons trade. “We’re in the prime of Joel’s career
this is not a day to day [issue}]. Every day, we are going to expect Ben Simmons to be back here, or we trade him for a difference maker.”

I actually agree with Ben Simmons that he could fit best with Steve Kerr and Steph Curry in The Bay. But it doesn’t appear that a trade is imminent.
