Baker Mayfield Requests Trade As Cleveland Situation Is An Official Sh-tshow

Get ready for an offseason filled with some more Baker Mayfield-filled headlines.

Despite the team announcing on Thursday that they were planning on moving forward with Mayfield as their QB — he reportedly asked to be traded away to another organization.

However, it has since been reported that the Browns told Baker Mayfield “no” when he asked to be moved in the coming days.

This all comes after a tumultuous week for the Baker Mayfield-Browns relationship.

After it was reported that Cleveland was in on Deshaun Watson, Mayfield wrote a lengthy message to the city and fan base that sure as hell came off as a farewell.

“With many uncertainties, here is where my head and heart is. The past 4 years have been nothing short of truly life changing since I heard my name called in the draft to go to Cleveland. This is not a message with hidden meaning. This is strictly to thank the city of Cleveland for embracing my family and me. We have made many memories and shared growing in this process through all the ups and downs,” Mayfield said in past of the post.

Now, Baker Mayfield wants out, it’s clear the team wouldn’t mind an upgrade under center, and all hell could break loose in Cleveland.

We’ll continue to track for updates.
