Allen Robinson Sends Cryptic Messages After Deshaun Watson Demands Trade

Chicago Bears receiver Allen Robinson has been openly frustrated with his contract situation. After the team couldn’t come to an extension agreement with their star receiver, they’ll now have a decision. Either let Robinson walk, extend him, or place the franchise tag on him which would likely set up a whole situation where he would become even more enraged with the organization.

After news broke Thursday morning that Deshaun Watson has demanded a trade, Allen Robinson took to Twitter to send out some cryptic messages. Many people are thinking this is his way of saying, “I’m next.”

“Only time will tell,” Robinson wrote.

Despite never really having a quality quarterback, Allen Robinson has maintained top-level production at the receiver position for many years.

Last season, A-Rob had 102 catches for 1,250 yards and six touchdowns. And that’s with Nick Foles and Mitchell Trubisky as his QBs. Imagine if Robinson had a top-tier quarterback to get him the football. He would be lethal.

Allen Robinson has stood his ground that he would like to be paid as one of the top receivers in the NFL, while the Bears’ brass has shown an unwillingness to grant him his wish. It appears that the two parties have reached a stalemate, and Allen Robinson will likely be on the move this offseason one way or another.

Any team would be lucky to have Allen Robinson on their side.
