New Manchester United Boss Calls Out ‘Unacceptable’ Behavior From Cristiano Ronaldo

Despite Cristiano Ronaldo’s wishes, he remains a member of Manchester United ahead of the Premier League season.

After Man U failed to qualify for the Champions League during their disastrous season last year, Ronaldo asked to be moved to a team who had qualified. But new Reds coach Erik ten Hag has been adamant that the team will not be moving their biggest star.

On Sunday, Ronaldo left the friendly against Rayo Vallecano early, proving his disinterest in the club at this present time.

Today, Erik ten Hag criticized Cristiano Ronaldo for leaving Old Trafford prior to the final whistle.

After the game, Erik ten Hag called the action ‘unacceptable’.

“It is unacceptable for everyone,” he told Viaplay Sport Netherlands. “I am telling them it’s unacceptable. We are a team. A squad. Until the end we stay together.”

After Cristiano Ronaldo asked for his exit from Manchester United, clubs such as Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid emerged as potential suitors. But now that United has held their ground, those teams have started to distance themselves.

Event though he clearly has no interest of sticking around Man U, Ronaldo does not have much of a choice.

The partnership between Erik ten Hag and Cristiano Ronaldo is certainly off to a contentious start, and we’ll see if that changes ahead of the upcoming season.
