Cale Makar Gives Chilling One Word Response When Asked About Celebrating The Dominant Game 2 Win

Superstar Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar could be well on his way to winning his first Conn Smythe Trophy at just 23 years of age. But he doesn’t want to think about any of that right now.

Makar and the Avalanche were completely dominant in Game 2 on Saturday night — imposing their will and showing the world they’re far and away the best hockey team in the world.

After Cale Makar scored his second goal midway through the third period, the Avs cruised to a convincing 7-0 win.

After the game, Cale Makar was asked if him and the team was planning on having a brief moment of celebration after going up 2-0 in the series. Unsurprisingly, the young star gave a quick “no” before walking back to the locker room.

Cale Makar is quickly proving that he might be the very best defenseman in the entire world, leading the charge for the Avalanche all postseason long.

However, the Lightning are two-time defending champs. And even though they looked completely outmatched on Saturday night, it would be foolish to count them out.

Tampa is likely going to give Colorado their best effort returning home for Game 3. But with the way Cale Makar and the Avalanche are going right now, that might not be enough to get the job done this year.
