Richard Sherman, Doug Baldwin Seemingly Called Out Russell Wilson Following Broncos Loss To Seahawks

Let Russ Cook wasn’t on the menu for the Broncos last night.

It feels like players from the Seattle Seahawks felt a certain type of way about Russell Wilson, especially after tweets were flying as reactions to Wilson’s tough loss on Monday Night Football. The Seattle Seahawks upset the Denver Broncos 17-16 on Monday night as Russell Wilson, who played his first 10 seasons in Seattle, was beat by Geno Smith. It was a game decided on a missed field goal, but it didn’t have to be that way. If only they let Russ cook. Richard Sherman, a former Seattle Seahawks teammate of Russell Wilson, was on hand to watch Wilson’s Broncos debut Monday night.

Sherman took to Twitter to add to a night full of nostalgia by evoking memories of Seattle’s heartbreaking loss in Super Bowl XLIX.

Sherman tweeted, “So goal to go situations are tough…..”

After the game was over, former Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin celebrated the team’s victory over Russell Wilson and the Broncos on Monday night.

Baldwin posted a cryptic tweet that seemed to be a shot at Russell Wilson.

See Baldwin’s tweet below:

Geno Smith finished 23-of-28 for 195 yards and two touchdown passes, but more importantly he walked away with the W.

Russell Wilson completed 29 of his 42 attempts for 340 yards and a touchdown, but not the result he was looking for against his old squad.
